Christians in Ivory Coast celebrate Christmas Day along with the rest of the Christian world, usually attending special church services.
The services often include group dances, poetry recitations, short plays, testimony and prayer times, and other elements no as common in Western church services. Also, note that these Christmas services can sometimes last all night long.
For the most part, people do not exchange gifts for Christmas in Ivory Coast but wait to do so on New Year’s Day.
