Easter time in Seychelles is one of the best times of year with the rains dying down. And April also brings the month-long Seychelles arts festival.

Easter is a very religious time for many in Seychelles. Most Christians are Roman Catholic, but there are also many Anglican and Eastern Orthodox believers. It’s typical to attend Easter Mass, though all too often only the women head to church on Easter morning.

After church, there are festive family lunches at home or at the beach. Picnics, barbecues on the beach, swimming, singing, dancing, and more are all typical at parties in Seychelles whether for Easter or another holiday. And there are also some local Easter parades and other activities held around the islands.
