Christmas 2025, 2026 and 2027 in Zimbabwe
Christmas is celebrated somewhat differently in Zimbabwe than in the Western World, although some of the traditions overlap. This Christian celebration is a national public holiday every 25 December.

In Zimbabwe, The first order of business for many people on Christmas Day is to go to a special church service. After church, it’s time to start up a family celebration and feast. But you don’t spend the whole time at home. Instead, people traditionally go door to door to visit all of your family and friends at their parties before finally returning back to your own.
Another common feature of a Zimbabwean Christmas is for people to decorate only the main room of their house, and ivy is as important as a Christmas tree in Zimbabwe when it comes to decor.
Outside, it’s common for families to have a loud stereo system blasting out Christmas songs, along with folk songs and modern pop music. Many wear their best clothes for Christmas or get new clothes as a Christmas gift.
