The largely Christian population of Cameroon celebrates Christmas with gusto and delight each year. The holiday is not much commercialised here but is focused instead on church and family activities. Church buildings and private homes are sometimes adorned for the holidays with lights and other decorations.

Time at church singing and listening to a Christmas sermon is common, followed up by Christmas meal at home with family and friends! Many also put up nativity scenes, attend dances, visit relatives, exchange gifts, go carolling, or spend time at the beach.
